To lessen eye strain from computer screens, sit so your eyes are level with the top of the monitor, reduce glare from light sources, blink often, and focus on something at a distance regularly to give your eyes a rest.
To reduce reactions to pollen and dust, limit your exposure. Dry and windy days are the worst, enjoy clean air after a good rain. If you can't delegate lawn, garden or dusting chores, wear a breathing mask. Don't hang your laundry outside, and be sure to wash your clothes and hair after being outdoors.
Both visible and UV sunlight can cause permanent damage to your eyes. Be sure to select sunglasses that have dark lenses and reduce glare. Dark colours that filter blue light - grey, brown, or green - will minimize glare.
